Native, not a tab
Built with Tauri and Rust into a real macOS window — frosted-glass vibrancy, system fonts, and instant launch. It feels like Apple built it.
Abiat is a fast, native Gmail & Calendar client for people who live in their inbox. New mail the instant it lands — beautifully light or dark.
A real desktop app — not another browser tab. Built on Rust and a native window, so it's fast, private, and always feels at home on your Mac.

IMAP IDLE pushes new messages the second they arrive — no polling, no waiting. Your inbox is always live the moment you look.
Mail is cached locally in SQLite and your tokens live in the OS Keychain. Sign in with Google over OAuth — nothing routes through our servers.
Abiat is designed with local-first principles. Your email and calendar data is fetched directly from Google's servers and cached in a local SQLite database on your device. Abiat never routes your email content through its own servers.
Every detail is tuned for momentum — a focused three-pane flow, detachable tabs, rich compose, and search that keeps up with you.
The workflow
Sidebar, conversation list, and reading pane — resizable and collapsible. Triage from the list, read in place, and keep your whole inbox a glance away.
Tabs & windows
Work across messages and drafts in a tidy tab strip — then drag a tab right out into its own window. Reply on one screen while you read on another.
Compose
A rich-text editor with bold, italics, lists, code, links, color, and highlights — plus live word, character, and line counts and drag-and-drop attachments.
Search
Full-text search with debounced typing, your recent history, and people autocomplete. Matches are highlighted inline so the right message jumps out.
Abiat follows your system appearance automatically, or pin it to light or dark. Real macOS frosted glass, on both sides.
Download Abiat and give Gmail the native, keyboard-driven desktop app it always deserved.
